Motion Graphic Showreel

This is a reel of the best bits from my large body of professional work, the majority of it created within the last 5 years. It has all been created using the Adobe Creative Suite, 3D Studio Max, Cinema 4D and Maya.

To delve a little further into some of the projects featured on the reel, please see below.

My Motion Graphics Showreel 2025

Virgin Media Two Channel Rebrand

This was a professional project where I was tasked with creating a suite of on-air graphics that would reflect the personality of the Virgin Media Two channel. VM Two is the fun, more light hearted and humorous of the Virgin Media channels and the brief was that this be reflected in the channel graphics.

The design also needed to be on-brand and to sit seamlessly alongside the family of Virgin Media channels. It required flexibility, with an option to incorporate ‘Play’ , the Virgin Media Player app when needed. The ‘cube’ was an existing design feature that also needed to be incorporated. These are stills from the final designs.

The concept was based on Two being a very acccesible, light-hearted channel. I wanted to deconstruct the environment into simple and clean parts, to give the viewer a sense of familiarity or ‘home’. The key part of the design was the 20 second ident, so the other graphics had to work around that concept. I played with various shapes and ideas for the menu graphics before deciding to keep them more simple and uncluttered, as seen above in the final designs. The images below showcase some concept work.

Play logo design development. This was also a part of the VMTV channels rebrand.

PROJECT TWO:

Virgin Media Weather Rebrand

I was tasked with refreshing the weather graphics for Virgin Media Television. The brief was to visually represent meteorological data in a clear, concise, and engaging way. The design needed to be fresh and contemporary, making it easy for audiences to understand and relate to the weather forecast.

I kept the design clean and crisp, using a minimal design detail to the side of the frame.

PROJECT THREE:

True Lives Documentary Series

These are some examples of my designs for a documentary series called True Lives. The tone of the design needed to reflect the gritty, hard-hitting nature of the documentaries. I decided to keep it all text based in order to focus on those interviewed, to visually highlight their voices and the impact of what they had to say.

PROJECT FOUR:

Guinness Six Nations Title Sequence

I was the lead designer on this project to create a signature look and title sequence for the 6 Nations coverage on Virgin Media. The 6 Nations coverage typically grosses the highest audience viewership annually within Virgin Media. So it was important to hit the right tone, to create a title sequence that would tune into the energy, excitement and tension of the viewers.
